First time on the coast this year…yeah
Managed to have 1 hour on the coast near our house weekend before last.
Our daughter Minna was asleep and so was the wife, so escaped into a light dusty rain and windstill day with absolute silence on the coast.
My camera is broken, so naturally couldn't take any pictures. Regardless, the first time out and only 1 hour, I wanted to focus on the fishing. I started out with double fly on a bombarda intermediate. I then changed over to a Filur with a Mickey Finn chaser fly.
Needless to say, I caught nothing. Didn't even feel or spot any fish. I did meet another fisherman who'd caught 3 trout just over the minimum of 40cm that morning, so the fish are there. Only 10 minutes from our house.
Hoping to get out again soon, but when choosing between spending time with my wife and 4month old daughter, and fishing - I choose family time these days. At least until my daughter is a bit older.
