Bathing al fresco
With all this summer and heat, we took the opportunity to have bathtime outside with Minna.
Loving the heat, but could do without the humidity. Can't win them all, I suppose.
We did go
We did go fishing, Martin and I. Ken also joined us on the trip.
It was a wonderful day, with blue skies and rather gentle winds. The fish seemed to have gone away for the day. Apart from a good peck at my toby-like blinker right at the start, we caught nothing but the sweet sun and a few beers.
Due to the failing winds, we started out making our way northwards by engine and cast anchor by Vosnæs Pynt. After about 40 minutes of nothing, we made our way across the bay and fished by Rolsøgaard for an hour or two. Still nothing, but at least the wind picked up enough to set sail and get back in harbour.
This was the first time Ken was on a sailboat actually sailing by the power of the wind alone, and he was so excited to steer that neither Martin or I got the chance. He assumed the pose and guided us to harbour with comments like "Ahoy, I sail the seven seas", "Look at my rudder, it's wonderful" and "Starbord, is that green or right?". We might have to get him a dark blue blazer with gold buttons.
We may have to go again in autumn when the fish are hungrier.
